As I wear a circle of crans above my heart this picture was nice to see.
From where I come from, I learned that this bird is sign of eternal life. A life filled new week for you.
Beautiful cranes ! Funny, I was in a bird sanctuary also this weekend... le Parc de Marquenterre, Baie de Somme... but I think where you were must be even more amazing. I will have to post a picture or two from Marquenterre... have you been there in your travels around France ?

@Babzy : Beaucoup d'oiseaux migrateurs viennent passer l'hiver dans le nord de l'Inde pour se proteger du froid qui sevit dans l'Himalaya. C'est une chance dont j'essaie de profiter de temps en temps.
