Was it hard to get there??? Google maps doesn't show any roads going there... seems to be a bit mountainous. Did you ride a motorcycle there ?
Try to get the itinerary from "Darjeeling, West Bengal, India" to "Pelling, Sikkim, India" and you'll see the road I took by car with my wife and children.
I didn't drive and enjoyed the scenery all along the 5-6 hours (110 km) !!!
